Dr. Ziyang Chen is a specialist in Acupuncture and Chinese herbology. As a practitioner with 20 years of professional practice, she has rich experience treating various pain disorders, chronic diseases, gynecological disorders, and stress-related health problems.

She was awarded M.D. and MMed degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, and Ph.D. degree in Japan. While attending her Master’s, Dr. Chen had the opportunity to apprentice with Famous Chinese Medicine Doctors for three years. Dr. Ziyang spent her practice as a team member at The Rehabilitation Center in Hospital in China. She practiced alongside neurologists, physiatrists, and physical therapists. Currently, Dr. Ziyang Chen is a professor of the Acupuncture Program at the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Chen specialized in Classical Chinese Medicine, using a variety of modalities to treat patients, including the applications of Acupuncture, Qigong therapies, Asian Bodywork, Cupping, Gua sha, Moxibustion, Chinese Herbology, plus Chinese Nutrition and Lifestyle counseling.
